Of course you are. I made this hack six months before the MyFi was available and ended up buying a second radio - the MyFi as soon as it was launched in December. Boy do I love it, but there are some firmware bugs and my songs frequently get out of sync with the names on the display.
They went with 128MB of Flash memory inside the MyFi rather than RAM in the SkyFi, which is why they did not allow for a 30 minute buffer - they did not want you "wearing out" the memory due to many write and delete cycles.
All in all, I think that the "push" of satellite radio beats the "pull" of the iPod for content delivery. Don't get me wrong, I have an iPod and years of MP3's too, but I call that my confort music and satellite is helping me find new and long forgotten favorites.
Which is your favorite audio product? Are you a control freak or just too damn busy?Posted by GadgetGuy on March 29, 2005 at 11:01:04 Pacific Time
