  Well, beyond the diagram that is in the magazine, there aren't any blueprints or schematics. There is an article about this project in the Nov 05 Popular Science and they have a diagram too - same info, different approach. The actual electronic assembly/soldering is very limited - just soldering the wires to the AirClick PCB and then the other side to the legacy switch.
  
  Ask your assembly questions here and I will answer to the best of my ability.

  For the love of god, man! Put down the sawzall and back away from the vintage hifi!
  
  Or better yet - try actually listening to the old stuff. All the parts you need to restore that vintage console are at your fingertips on eBay. 12" fullrange alnico speakers are easy to find, and will sound better. That tubed Fisher or Marantz tuner is some of the finest audio equipment ever assembled. Treat it with respect. Likewise the european equipment from Telefunken, Grundig, etc. Even the mid-grade stuff from RCA, Philco and Magnevox is worthy of preservation.

  But, by the time I got this Farnsworth, the turntable was gone with a piece of cardboard in it's place and half the tubes were missing from the amplifier. Garage sales (at least in Los Angeles) are ripe with these old consoles. I refurbished a $20 Telefunken that I use regularly. I have turned down recent Grundigs and Telefunkens that were as cheap as free. And I have a modest Magnavox in a beautiful rosewood-tone cabinet that I would sell for a song. Maybe less. Ready for preservation!
  
  
  
  But, thanks for the comparison to the 76 Pinto! I love a nice red, white and blue Pinto with the V6!
