I have had a copy of this book for years and drag it out every now and then to refresh my memory. There are also a slew of similar compendiums from Popular Mechanics and Popular science with titles such as "Giant Home Workshop Manual", "Mammoth Home Worskshop Manual", (you see where this is going...) and my favorites, "Popular Mechanics Shop Notes" which came out every year from around 1914(?) up until the 60's or 70's.
