This is an excellent idea. I have two portable units in my sunroom that I turn on and off manually as needed - this will be a much better solution. Thanks.

By the way what is the controller/computer unit in the photograph in you article? Looks like a great unit for a home security/home control application. Is pen based or touch screen.

Thanks, James0555. The device is a 3com Audrey, a device that many felt was years ahead of its time. They still can be found on eBay and there is a thriving user community.
