I tried putting this together but am confused. The schematic doesn't show a polarity for the capacitors - but the picture looks like there are electrolytic capacitors. Should they be elctrolytic? If so, what is the polarity?
Also, is there another type of cheaply-made oscillator that would work? Anybody have a schematic or a link to other types of sounds that could be generated with such low power and low cost?Posted by veggiecar300 on February 20, 2008 at 22:01:57 Pacific Time

I live in an area that has lots of small rodents that love a tasty cricket. Also, with rodents come snakes who like to snack on their mamalian buddies and find ways to cozy up inside your house. So, basically, my question is: does the electric cricket attract pesky critters who like to eat real crickets?Posted by thatGuyWithTheThing on July 12, 2008 at 19:10:06 Pacific Time
