- Mic and Amplifier

I bought some great little tie-pin mics on ebay and then tested them, and they worked. But I tried plugging them into the radioshack amplifier, and all I started hearing was static. I thought it was the amplifier's problem, and exchanged it for a new one, but I got the same results. I know that the mic works, but is there something about the input that I should know, such as the type of input (mono/stereo)? I didn't think it really mattered. Oh, I also tried plugging the amplifier into the piezo earphone, but I didn't hear anything there either. I have radioshack part 277-1008C rather than just 277-1008. But I checked them both online, and there doesn't seem to be any fundamental difference. I just don't know what the problem is.Posted by Stevo17 on December 13, 2008 at 18:00:30 Pacific Time
