- Servo with extended range?

Great article! I've been wanting to control volume pots like this, but I would really like to have it where the servo would have a range that would match a potentiometer's mechanical range. That way you could go from zero to ten (or eleven!) I've seen mods for servos to make them 360 degree but then they are continuous. I don't want to twist the knob off! Anyone have any ideas?Posted by jerrymcp on November 30, 2008 at 17:40:14 Pacific Time

I've already looked into that, but as far as I know if you do that mod, the servo becomes a regular motor, loosing the positional "awareness".
A stepper would do, but it brings other issues...Posted by pjrebordao on December 02, 2008 at 13:00:06 Pacific Time
