Make a propane powered radio controlled hot air balloon

Balloon8AJim writes “Plans for a quarter-scale sized hot air balloon. Radio controlled propane burner quickly lifts the balloon into the air – and it is big enough to haul up a digital camera. Video of the balloon in action is downloadable from the site.” The plans cost money, but the freebie section has some good stuff too. Link.

This is pretty impressive. There are lots of hot-air balloons in the area (North Dallas ‘burbs), but I’ve never seen an RC balloon. Tempting.

Me too, never seen a RC balloon. I’m quite into hot air balloons myself too. If you don’t mind, I’ve a joke to share about it also… :-)

Is a Hot Air Balloon a Male or Female?

Hot Air Balloon is a male, because to get it to go anywhere you have to light a fire under it… and, of course, there’s the hot air part. :-)

Visit my site http://www.yohotairballoon.com for more hot air balloon rides and other info too. Thank you.

Go to youtube and search under RC hot air balloon, I have put a video up of my RC balloons in flight.

Or search under my name “growingupisoptional”
I have a full size balloon and fly my RC balloon when the RC jet gets too expensive.
    Hope you enjoy.
