This tiny 58 x 60 x 13mm 30g MP3 player uses SD and runs off a AAA battery, for $9 USD it’s likely a good device to hack up and make a MP3 playing jacket or some type of sound storage for a sensor / trigger. [via] – Link.

This is kind of funny. Ledshoppe.com that I mentioned in the LED post right below this is selling this MP3 player for $15.
This would be a cheap and easy way to make an altoids tin mp3 player.

B.G. Micro is still offering their $5.95 MP3 player (part no. AUD1081, or search for MP3). It’s a 16 MB (read: obsolete) model… but… at that price….
I’ve been a happy customer of B.G. Micro for several years– it’s a excellent source of cheap random parts.
I’ve got a Rosewill($7 after rebate, expired), it works good, once you upgrade the earbuds. The biggest problem with these cheap players is lack of song title display and forget playlists. The Rosewill only displays track #’s.
I do LOVE the ability to swap SD cards with varied mixes, though. It’s like Hitclips for adults.
I’d like to try the one from Geeks.com if I could confirm that it displayed song/artist.

Does anyone know when and if we are/will able to purchase the Evergreen model in the states?
