GP32/2/X/ – Best homebrew running handheld for gaming?

Fun & Games

Gp2X
Dave reminded me that I needed to post up about the GP2X, he writes – “Here’s a website for a do-it-yourself opensource linux handheld game/media console. It is based on a dual core 240 MHz ARM CPU, 64 Megabytes RAM, SD card support up to 4 Gigabytes, and has a bright 3.5″ TFT display. It allows and SUPPORTS hobby programming of games, emultators, anything you want to program. It includes free opensource developement tools as well. Looks to be the ultimate in homebrew programming and tinkering. It supports USB networking so could possibly be used for robotics etc.”Link.

I personally have GP2X, and it is quite exquisite. There’s an infinite amount of possibilities to use this thing, and new stuff is always coming out.

I recommend highly to check out the forums on http://www.gp32x.com .
