The One Meter class boats are great. They are large enough at one meter long (duh!) to sail well and they are small enough to transport easily. Boats much smaller than about 30 inches tend to be toy like on the water.
My Flickr set has a few photos of Dr. John, the One Meter I designed and built in 1995. I did some things differently from the AMYA designs. Makers are like that. I used some of the methods picked up designing RC planes.
