Time lapse movie from the open source convention

James Duncan Davidson who take a lot of the MAKE related photos at events made a really cool time lapse video while at OSCON, he writes – “At this year’s Open Source Convention, I made a time lapse movie of the exhibit hall area. This was made from a perch in the staff office which gives a nice overhead view of everything. The video takes around an hour of real time and compresses it into 35 seconds. I created this video using a Canon EOS 20D camera and a Canon TC-80N3 remote switch. The reason the switch is important is that has a built-in intervalometer. This let me trigger an exposure every 3 seconds. I ended up with over a 1000 frames. I then imported the frames into QuickTime Pro (using File > Open Image Sequence…) at 30 frames per second. Next, I exported out a 720p HD QuickTime movie from which I generated these smaller movies.” – Link.
