just a quick FYI to Makers everywhere…
The article refers to using an ATI HDTV Wonder, which is also classified as the ATI Wonder 650.

This card has recently been recalled recently for undisclosed reasons. Some forums have mentioned that it could be an issue causing it to only accurately receive 30% of the HD channels.

Hmm… I’ve been wanting to do this for a while but can’t seem to find any decent information on it.

Which TV-tuner should I be looking for? As idyll23 points out above, the ATI card has been recalled so what other options are there? And what’s a good antenna for indoor use?

The linked article is *extremely* light on information.

Even if not for the recall issue, I would avoid the ATI tuner card. According to what I have found out, this card responds to the “Broadcast Flag” and is not compatible with open-source software (e.g. MythTV). Currently, it is still legal to buy an HDTV card that does not recognize the broadcast flag.

I currently use a Dvico Fusion HDTV card in my Windows box and am quite satisfied with it.
