Here’s a great clock design that slowly “tilts” as the hours go by, pretty easy project to re-make with cheap clock parts and a weight inside an object… – ” We wanted to express the idea of “feeling the time”, not “measuring the time”. It can be shown from revolving slowly on its own axis once every hour with an ambiguous change in its inclination. And we used the preciseness of a Japanease craftman technique to make this delicate shape to revolve smoothly.” [via] – Link and video.

But what’s to keep it from spinning or being spun, making it lose its “time”?
just have a mark where 12 is (a notch or something) and you just adjust it. in general you’d have to be looking at it from the same angle at all times anyway to really know exactly what hour it is…but most people know what hour it is anyway making the entire clock pointless
This would not work in homes that have cats.
