Monkeyrun uses a drill to make a pretty spicy dish…
It’s always good to experiment and it’s always good to experiment in the kitchen. It was with this motto that Nick and I came up with the concept of putting chillis inside meat to create Drilled Chilli Beef. A ‘mechanic’s dinner’. This is a meat dish for spice lovers
Ingredients:
1kg+ of slow roasting beef
Bird Eye chillis
Finger chillis
Utensils:
Electric drill
Sharp drill bit (typically 3/8″ – 10mm)

Wow, beef inlay…
I feel like you could get a turducken thing going on here… like a pork loin inside a beef roast…
Good excuse to buy big drill bits, anyway.
Lemme tell you, this is quite possibly the most delicious way to make a roast. The flavor of whatever spices and seasonings you put into the drilled holes permeates the entire hunk of meat, but for whatever reason, does not make it too rich or too ‘strong’ of a taste.

I’m not a big spice fan so I’m thinking cheese and ham would be pretty awesome, it would be beef roast cordon bleu or something
