Here’s a guide on modifying extremely cheap servos to rotate continuously. These servos can be used as drive motors for small robots etc. The guide can also be used for different types of servos too – Link.

    The Acoms AS-16 appear to be available mostly in the UK. Don’t worry if you can’t find them in the States…they actually cost about the same as Hitec or Yeah Racing servos. You could head over to http://www.servocity.com and find servos like the Hitec HS-322HD for $9.99 and modify them for continuous rotation using the same principles shown in this article.
