Paul Badger, the maker of the Bare Bones Board (an Arduino-compatible board you can build yourself) is presenting at this month’s Providence Geek Dinner. At Maker Faire Austin, Paul gave a couple of talks on the BBB and helped some folks assemble theirs at the Maker Store.

Paul Badger teaches physical computing and electronic media at RISD, and is the Founder of Providence-Based Modern Device Company. He had long been using microcontrollers in his classes when he became aware of the Arduino open-source hardware and software initiative… Paul is the inventor of the first Arduino board not created by the "official" Arduino team, the Bare Bones Board.

I'm a tinkerer and finally reached the point where I fix more things than I break. When I'm not tinkering, I'm probably editing a book for Maker Media.
