Harnessing Nature – “The Bug Light”

The Bug Light is a beautiful sculpture created entirely out of 100% recycled parts. What a great use of materials that would have ended up in a landfill. Next time you go to throw away that burnt out bulb, think of the Bug Light. – Link

Where is the filtration in that so called aquarium?

    Disgusting.

  2. CRS says:

That firefly light looks like a UL approved socket attatched to something that is not UL approved, a hand soldered circuit connected to a swich and is that a non-grounded lamp cord behind? Wired by somebody who is likely NOT a licensed electrician. I think this is a good example of a project NOT to do.

CRS – You are right that WOULD be dangerous…..but, the base most likely houses a pair of “AA” batteries which is connected to the switch. This is an art piece made from recycled pieces, not a 110V powered light.

While it would probably be better if the tank had a filter, the fish is a Betta, and Bettas don’t really need filters to do pretty well.
