I love vintage cashmere sweaters, but find that due to their age they often have little places where threads have broken, so I mend them. The egg is cute, but if you don’t want to buy one, any small hard object with a soft curve to it will work. I use a large marble that I already had at home, but I have been known to use the handle of my awl (just have to be careful not to pock myself with the point), or even my knee.
