Around a year ago, I decided to make Amy Butler’s Patchwork Throw from In Stitches as a wedding present for my sister. To finish the quilt I had to find 10 coordinating fabrics online from 3 different web stores, upgrade my sewing machine, buy countless spools of thread and figure out how to machine quilt. I finally finished Sunday night (2 months shy of the 1 year gift cut-off) and I just had to share the accomplishment. Maybe next time I will buy off the registry.
