Highwaykind shows you how to attach stuff to walls without drilling holes

I didn’t want to ruin my kitchen tiles and wall by drilling a giant hole through it, but I did want to hang my knife and paper/foil thing to the wall. Solution: superglue and magnets.

I understand not wanting to create a hole in the tile, but won’t the super-glue cause a nightmare for removal and clean up later? You might end up ruining the tile from the chemicals or mechanical removal.

Considering you seem to have typical wall space right above the tile you seem like you have some alternatives… you might be better off making holes there to mount and hang some nice pieces of hardwood down over the tile to attached your various items to…

For non damaging adhesive on tile, use clear rtv silicone. It will hold far better than superglue on glazed tile, and can be removed with ease.

one will have to hold the magnets to the tile overnight with tape for the curing, but it’s worth it. I dont trust brittle superglue holding knives suspended by magnets on tile

@bemis- one of the comments in the link says acetone dissolves superglue. it shouldn’t harm tile, so cleanup could be easy.
