I like the solution here for a horizontal accelerometer board on a vertical breadboard. At first he had the entire breadboard at horizontal, but this little hack is a more sensible solution.

    Good solution. You can sometimes find right angle DIP sockets in old equipment where they’ve mounted 7 seg LED displays.

    What are those tines protruding out of the bottom of the circuit board going to the DIP socket called? I can’t seem to find that out, and I need to order some.

    Confronted with a similar situation, I would undoubtedly use cut-off resistor leads or other scraps of wire… I suppose you could pull pins off a header like the one above for a sturdier solution.
