This info graphic guide by Vectortuts user Jonathan blew me away. I putz around in Adobe Illustrator from time to time, but I’ll be first to admit that I basically have no idea what I’m doing. Maybe after running through a few tutorials like this I’ll be able to fake it.

There are some really good tips in here, including how to illustrate from a photograph, choosing line weights, and cleaning up the rough edges.

    I have a bunch of them – I got them from SuperBright LEDs. According to them, you don’t need resistors, they’re built in. And if you hook a bunch up together, they’re not quite synced, so they change color in unison for a while, then it gets chaotic – very pretty!
