I have a powerful sweet tooth, but I’m a much better cook than baker (I tend to throw things together and read recipes out of order, which can mean disaster for cakes and meringues). But for some reason (pregnancy hormones?), I have a newfound interest in baking and have been attempting to train myself. (Coming soon: amazing pancakes!) I’m a huge coffee cake fan, so it was only natural that I’d want to try out the Cinnamon Swirl Cake recipe from Elena Nazzaro of French Toast Girl that we published in Volume 10 of Craft.
