why do insist on saying ‘sauder’ or ‘sodder’?
it’s spelled solder
there’s an ‘L’ in it
@Liam – I guess I insist on saying it that way because…
1.) I’ve been saying it that way for about 40 years.
2.) That is how it is pronounced everywhere except in Britian.
3.) http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/solder
There are many words in the english language where letters are ‘silent’ or not how they appear to sound. For instance, say the following sentence and pronounce the words as they appear:
“A rough-coated, dough-faced, thoughtful ploughman strode through the streets of Scarborough; after falling into a slough, he coughed and hiccoughed.”
Okay, enough pronunciation. How did you like the video?
