Never happen! But it’s neat looking, and it uses some impressive sounding industrial process called “impact extrusion,” and its proving to be a pretty effective advertisements for its designer Dzmitry Samal. [via Gizmodo]

They need to change the color scheme…presently the black highlight area looks like a coffin.

They need to merge both top and bottom sections which would look like a lava lamp which is much cooler than a coffin.

The facets remind me of a steel drum – I wonder if they could alter the design so each fact is a different size, thereby making this a very small circular steel drum. Of course, it would be hard to play because only half the drum is visible at a time, but you could line up four cans (each rotated 90 degrees).

An alternative would be to arrange the pads of the drum, not so that they are in an ascending musical order, but so that they play a small tune (or jingle) when played in sequential order.

Being this small, I suspect the notes would be very high.

This is something I won’t be surprise already exists in Japan… They have the most interesting drink cans.

Cool looking but not doable with impact extrusion! needs to brushup on manufacturing technology if he wants to get hired as a designer. otherwise he can get a job as a stylist….
