Yesterday, our online tech team, ever-vigilante to keep our site ship-shape, updated our RSS templates. Unfortunately, this caused RSS reader applications to think all the entries in the feed were new and downloaded them again. Oops.
We’re sincerely sorry for any problems, inconvenience, or hair-pulling this may have caused. We’ll try to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Apologies if there’s a fix and I missed it. I still have the make widget on my mac dashboard, and was hoping someday to restore it’s link functionality on the current versions of OS X.
Anybody done a rewrite? Or is there another solution out there that I missed? I can’t seem to “clip” the rss feed to a widget like a webpage either.
Anyway, not a total crisis or anything, but the rss feed reset just got me thinking about it again.
I really should figure out how to recode it, but I can’t quite pull myself away from my other projects for a one-off coding project.
It was a bit shocking to see an explosion of unread Make in Greader. But all is clear now. Thanks for the explanation!
texts from last night does this to my gfeed almost daily.
