I do believe that Miss Manners or Emily Post or one of those ‘how to’ manners ladies has always said that you should never be *anywhere* without a clutch of some sort. Why ruin a gown when you could, y’know, just put your ever-important iPod remote in your purse? Perhaps sewing a little pouch in your bag would be more appropriate than in the lining of your dress.

  2. Nate says:

More importantly, why are you listening to your iPod while out at a fancy event?
I’m pretty sure Emily Post would box your ears for that one.
Perhaps if you’re frequently hosting parties, and the remote is connected to your stereo…that makes some sense.
Or, toning down the “formality” to everyday use…
But now we’re just being nitpicky :)

I love how it’s just men responding to the appropriateness (or not) of this method.

Interesting that these silly men are so critical of a new idea. I bet that they have already lined their trouser pockets for their i pods so that no one knows what they are really doing in boring staff meeting and social functions
they really don’t care to be at.
