I love the look and feel of these, especially the fact that you can see the original packaging. A friend of ours recently did a how-to on something similar using a Healthy Choice can of soup – http://yaydiy.com/2010/02/a-soup-er-pretty-nightstand-holder/ – it’s a pretty similar idea. Love that all of these are pretty and a good way to recycle!
