    These things are not worth the effort. Just plant patio sized hybrids in a normal pot. The whole upside down thing is a total gimmick.

    My yard is mostly shady, and the only place my tomatoes get enough sun is when they’re hanging high up on the south side of my house.
    Also, it was handy in the past in an apartment with a little bitty patio.
    That said, my home-made hanging planter like this one fell apart pretty easily. Reinforced fabric with thick plastic around the growing hole worked really well :)
