We’re thrilled with the response that we’ve been getting for the Make: Robot Build. The weekly project newsletter has far more subscribers than we expected, and is growing into a little thumbnail course on robot design and construction, the Robot Build area of the MAKE Forums has some nice conversation going on, and we’re starting to see some design ideas show up in the MAKE Flickr pool.

We’re also psyched to see that some builders have created projects blogs where they’re detailing their efforts. Here are the three that we know about. If you’re keeping one, or you decide to launch one, please let us know!

Karl Demuth – Make: Robot Build
Karl has done a really nice little tutorial on hacking servomotors to remove the control electronics and alter the gears for continuous rotation. He’s also put together the Solarbotics Ardweeny and Breadboard Voltage Regulator kits (both seen above).

Kurt’s Robot Build
Kurt has done some interesting experiments with thermoforming CDs and put together the Solarbotics BBVR kit.

ArduinoFun CoasterBot Build
Shawn Augustson has done some awesome CD re-shaping, using a heat gun. We hope to see other people running with this idea.

BTW: A new issue of the Make: Robot Build Newsletter is coming out tomorrow. You can subscribe right here:
