Embroidered Wedding Invitations

These gorgeous hand embroidered wedding invitations from Anna of Rifle Paper Co. are just the kind of thing I’d be giddy to see in my mailbox, and would set an incredibly fun tone for a wedding.

For their invitation we decided to play up their love for handmade with a hand sewn invitation design. I used embroidery thread and sewed it directly into paper to create the design and then added hand painted lettering before scanning the art for printing.

Note that, no, she did not hand embroider each and every invitation (whew!). I love, too, that the embroidered theme is so gracefully carried through the RSVP cards, maps and all elements of the invitation package. So sweet. See more pictures over on her blog. [via Feeling Stitchy]
