Flickr user Happy Monkey uploaded these shots to the MAKE Flickr Pool. There’s not much info, other than that they’re made with “Vintage seltzer bottle caps and wire.” Would love to know how they’re hooked together. Assuming each cap is about 1″ wide, the finished box is about the same size as a milk crate.

  1. Nate says:

and you see he’s got a wire running through it.

On the first pic, focus on the corner closest to the camera, you can see a glint of the folded end of the wire. On the second, look at the base pyramid on the left side (where the inside of the caps is facing you), and you can see a wire running through their centers. You can also see the wires on the base of the crate, peeking out between the edges of the caps.

It’s subtle, and very well done. That box took a lot of work to make!
