  • corvustristis.wordpress.com

Because Subversive Cross Stitch taught me to cross stitch, of course! And my walls need a little more offensiveness to keep them interesting.

  • TheKnittingType

I would find most comfort in winning this subversive cross stitch kit considering I was recently fired from my job in a very unflattering manner. Many of the kits state my very appropriate response to their insensitive dismissal of me, haha.

  • franb

I would love to win some free Subversive Cross Stitch kits so I can save (embellish) some clothing I made. They need that extra element of spunk!

  • Jillann64

I would love to win this as I am new to cross stitching and am short of supplies. Wow…this would give me a great start!! Plus…I love the subversive part :)

  • champouxv

having just moved and being in the process of decorating, this would be fabulous! My house is definately in need of a little subversive decorating, a little discreet middle finger to all the nosy posers who snoop around and critique our mixed up style.

  • Bonney

I’d like to win this because it’s hilarious! And it’s the perfect gift to make for that special friend with a great sense of humor!

  • kelly s

I have loved their kits for a long time and need to replenish my collection!

  • FrolleinFranetzki

I need that kit because I’m so devoted to anything stitchy and crafty that my latest tattoo was an embroidery design which says “Craft Or Die”. Consequently, if I don’t get new obsessive crafty projects to do, it’s like taking me away from the air that I breath. See? You must let me WIN! :D
And additionally, I love being subversive. Rock it!

  • mereornament

really love the “it’s lavish, but i call it home”! might have to work on that one!

  • AndreaInBlue

I am setting up a home office and have just the place for some stitchy snark!

  • schmoomom

I’ve been wanting to learn to cross stitch, and I’ve been coveting Subversive’s stuff for a few years now. Would LOVE to learn and then maybe teach others…

  • Eden

While my bills are paid, I have very little money for fun right now. This would be perfect in keeping me occupied.

  • omnomnomstudios

I’ve never really won anything before especially something like this online so for starters that would be a real thrill.
This time last year I was homeless and squatting in a tree house. I’d tried to keep as much of my stuff as I could while I could in hopes that everything would be fine soon enough. So I was basically up there with my crafting supplies and my books. I remember working on a Subversive Cross Stitch while I was out there.
We’re still fairly poor but doing much better than last year. I’d really love the chance to have this much from something I’ve been such a fan of because I’m not certain when I’d be able to get to buy it.

  • sorchaogle.wordpress.com

Are those of us from outside the US eligible?
I live in the UK and would love to have a chance of winning!
It’s difficult to find something this, well, subversive over here, and it would be a great opportunity to show it off!

  • tamstercmt

I can think of several people who would enjoy receiving a finished cross stitch as a gift. Also, having something like this hanging on my wall would just remind me that my inner snark is a great thing!

  • allidean

I never win anything, but I enter lots of contests with hopes of winning. Also I love to f***ing craft!

  • poptart13

i would like to win, because, really who doesn’t want to win things? i also really dig the style and snark of subversive cross stitch. and i’m broke and can’t afford things right now. so yeah! pick me! pick me!

  • Foxed Buckram

I love Subversive Cross stitch. It is a source for snarky gifts. Plus, I really need a twee way to tell my coworkers to eff off.

  • maptome

I’d like to win because I feel like it’s something me and my mom can do together and both enjoy.

  • sexychelsea

I would LOVE to win this giveaway, subversive cross stitch is one of my favorites and they would be great funny pieces to decorate my new place!

  • mysteryflavor

I think these would be the perfect kits to help me start cross stitching! A friend of mine made the “Shut Your W***e Mouth” one a while ago, and since then I’ve wanted to try some for myself. They’d be perfect hanging around my apartment, I think they fit my personality quite well! :o)

  • yarnismyantidrug

I would love to introduce cross stitch to my young womens group and since they all have a highly developed sense of irony, they would love the subversive designs.

  • Smoose003

I have looked at subversive cross stitch before but I never knew that there were patterns or kits. These would make great gifts for certain people and would make up so quickly.

  • practicallydomestic

This is a neat giveaway. I have seen a few of these patterns. So funny!

  • Zenmasterlauren

What a great giveaway!!! I need a new project :)

  • Just Another Fanatic

I’d love to win these because my house needs some new decor

  • rockclimber79

I get out many of my aggressions by working out, running and climbing. However, sometimes that doesn’t work. Sometimes I just want to sit at home and relax. I tried learning out to knit, that didn’t work. I tried learning how to crochet, that didn’t work. I do know how to cross-stitch, as I have given many as gifts. However, I think this would be a great way to unwind from a stressful day and have a good laugh while doing it.

  • grignotine78

My grandmother taught me how to cross stitch when I was child, and she had the most biting wit of anyone I have ever met. I know she would have loved to see me cross stitching these patterns–I’d be carrying on TWO family traditions!

  • secretspygirl

I’d like to win this giveaway because I have a friend who is a very skilled at cross stitch and I would like to rival and someday surpass her. I’ve never stitched before, so I have a long road ahead, but this seems like a great place to start!

  • haliegirl

    What a fantastic giveaway!
I’d love to make one of these to hang in my living room.

  • steffany813

My abuella taught me when I was very young and I have done it ever since. I literally stitch till my hands ache but my Dr. said it is actually good for my arthritis.

  • Ben Jarrell

I would love to win because I want to get some gifts and have no money.

  • Cheryl

Being unemployed for over a year, this would give me something to do between job searches. When I do get a job, the finished pieces would be great decoration for my new cubical/office.

  • kathow

I think it would be very satisfying to make these as Christmas gifts for my family so I can tell them what I really think! Two birds, one stone.

  • AmyJ

I *love* Subversive cross stitch, and if I win I will use these to make projects for my office and classroom. Hopefully it will help bring cross stitch to the next generation!

  • Kate

I recently started doing embroidery and cross stitch just by teaching myself, and winning some kits would give me a good way to practice and become awesome at it. Plus all the snark should hopefully inspire some of my own equally rude patterns.
    Also, winning is sweet, obviously.

  • Lindsey

Because I just joined the Americorps and am moving to Boston and won’t know anybody there and will need something to do on my down time :)

  • AmyJ

Because I would really like to win.

  • smellingskunk

This one requires a bit of background info. My parents and younger sister live in central California, where summers are…let’s say “taxing.” Yesterday qualified as downright balmy because it was only 97 degrees; several weeks in a row of triple-digit temperatures aren’t uncommon. Also, a housefire in my childhood meant that, due to insurance paying for repairs, the wiring and plumbing in the house can be slightly eccentric. Earlier this week, the electricity to the back two bedrooms of their house blew. Fixing it is going to require fixing the actual physical wiring, so like, busting walls down. So let me recap: at the moment, my familial homestead has been turned into a swelteringly hot, dark pit filled with incessant banging. In other words, my poor family members are living in a goblin cave. If anyone on this planet deserves an archly sarcastic cross-stitch sampler, it is them.

  • tracydeecee

…so I can tell all those people (the ones who tell me that cross stitch is for old ladies) to “Shut Your Piehole”.

  • carolinacotton

    …Right? ;)
Also, these were at the top of my Christmas list and for some reason my Southern Baptist grandma didn’t buy me one. Weird.

  • stitchbrinnstitch.wordpress.com

Oh man, I LOVE Subversive Cross Stitch. The sense of humor is RIGHT up my ally, and my new apartment (starting in August) could use some snark.

  • insidemyribs

I’ve recently become obsessed with embroidery and I would love to learn cross stitch as well! And subversive cross stitch is just too funny. i love it!

  • Cassandra

Subversive was my first cross stitch and I have been in love with them ever since! I’ve been spreading the word of awesome cross stitching to friends and families ever since! My mom has Chill the F*!*K out framed in her living room! :o)

  • Tivity

I used to be an obsessive x-stitcher until knitting entered my life. But ever since I saw Subversive Cross Stitch I’ve wanted to get back into it.

  • jennyeileen

Because, who doesn’t! This would make awesome gifts and as I currently do not have decoration on my house’s walls. I need some swag!

  • Lauren

Because I’ve been knitting, sewing, and crocheting for years but never got around to learning to cross stitch! Plus, I would love my first cross stitching experience to be a snarky one.

  • P1nk

Just give me the $50 bitches, that concludes why I want to win.

  • woofie

I’ve been helping my mom relocate 500 miles for the last week and all of the above apply. I need to stitch them out for therapy.

  • Wendy O. Blackheart

Because Subversive Cross Stitch taught me that there could actually be awesomely weird and fun cross stitch kits and patterns to do, and that everything from the kitchy past of cross stitch doesn’t have to be abandoned to make modern cross stitch fun!

  • Pirate

I would love to make some of these for my grandma – she made such beautiful cross-stitches for me when I was a kid, but none of them fit her sharp personality. I bet she’d really like one of these!

  • Len

Where else would I channel all my internalized anger?

  • illusionary

…would be perfect for me, since I haven’t cross stitched for 10 years because I got sick of the cutesy boring patterns available. This would be AWESOME!!

  • alanaeveryday

These little sayings can help me create the perfect gift for everyone in my family. Christmas could be interesting this year >:)

  • Kim

So many of my friends want me to make something for them, and they aren’t really the teddy bear sampler set. These would be perfect (I already have a few favorites picked out!).

  • jalphaiv

Fun! I would love to do some more embroidery and this is right up my alley!

  • Witch Baby

Oooh this is right up my alley since I just finished my last cross stitch project. I need more Subversive Cross Stitch in my life!

  • nous

I loved cross stitch when I was younger, but got too old and cool for butterflies and teddy bears. It never occurred to me that I could take cross stitch and adapt it to my rebellious and snarcastic sensibilities until I first saw Subversive Cross Stitch. What a revelation! This meant I could take all sorts of the old-fashioned crafts and arts that I loved and apply them in modern ways!

  • lotuseyes

I want to decorate my desk at work with these!!!

  • ninetteg

Call me crazy, but I think everyone needs a ‘Shut Your Piehole’ cross-stitch in their life!

  • AB

    A. I just learned how to cross stitch about a month ago.
    B. These are quite awesome.

  • polekat

I’m disabled, but can do projects like this and it makes me *laugh*.

  • CaitlinGracie

Thanks for the giveaway! My mom taught me to cross stitch when I was seven, and she loves the Subversive Cross Stitch book. She made a bunch of the patterns for her friends at work and showed the book to all our awesome old ladies at our embroidery group, who also love it.

  • Pompon

I would lovelovelove to win, my partner and i just bought a new house and are desperately needing some nifty art to hang. AND with the amazing amounts of rain saskatchewan is getting I need something to do while I sit inside and pray for sunshine to make my little garden grow.

  • Beth

I would love to win this cross stitch prize! The past few years I have been wowing my family and friends with the fun things I have knit and would love to open their eyes to another fun craft that has been reinvented.

  • dally_k

I need these because despite what my friends might say, there is NOT enough cheekiness in my life!

  • darcy b.

besides that i love to cross stitch and love offensive humor, i’m poor AND i have some subversive cross stitch coasters that my sister got me, so i need something to go with them!

  • Deedra

I would love more projects to express my subversive-ness with! :)

  • panda13

I would love to win the kits so i can stop adding money to my swear jar and just stitch up some four letter words. Way more therapeutic than actually ranting at someone, i can just stitch up “#@%&!!”

  • tishous

I want to win because I’m a big ole Subversive Cross Stitch fan but haven’t been able to buy any new patterns thanks to the budget. Boo to that!

  • rebslee

I’m unemployed and could use the distraction from endlessly sending resumes.

  • Elaine

I just bought a new house and need to fill the house with some of this awesomeness!

  • Jenny

I think these patterns are hilarious! Sometimes you just get sick of stitching flowers and country cottages, you know? I’d love to win!!

  • kate morar

i just finished college, i am broke, bored and looking for new projects.

  • Maryline

I live with my grandmother… And she has always wanted me to learn to cross stick since , as she says, it would keep me out of trouble… Now wouldn’t this be the best project to start with lol

  • jilybrat

Wow, coincidentally i was looking at this last night!! There are so many great patterns on her site, it would be soo hard to chose which projects to make.

  • Emory

I am such a Subversive Cross Stitch fan! I would love to stock up on more patterns that Julie has put out since the book.

  • aubs78

I’ve seen the subversive kits before and thouht they were very clever and witty. What a great offer to try them for myself!!

  • Sandra

Because I say so many of those things and I have a new office to decorate.

  • msstrez

i’d like to win for two reasons
    1) subversive x-stitch has some rockin’ items
    2) i’ve never x-stitched and it’s time i darn well did!

  • Yarnivore

Because I just love Subversive Cross Stitch, and her patterns make me laugh. :D

  • craftygreek

i saw subversive cross stich , through here o r feeling stichy
    i dont remember
i want subversive cross stich to be mine mine , do u here craft world??? do u?/
beware of the greek , when they stich hihihi lol

  • Redzipstar

I have long admired Julie Jackson’s patterns, but I am even more impressed as I await the start of today’s World Cup game in my Holland jersey. I would love to win and try my hand at the Dutch versions!

  • Boolady

Well, I cant find the comment box so I have to reply to somebody’s (sorry redzipstar-what is that by the way). then I read that the winner is chosen randomly so what difference does it make what I say? So I will not exhuast myself trying to be clever. Shut yer own damn piehole…

  • Anna

I love the Subversive Cross Stitch patterns, because if you don’t read them they look like they would say “Home Sweet Home,” but then you read the words and you see how far that is from the case. The juxtaposition of the “wholesome” art of cross stitch with straight profanity is so much fun! I would love to stitch any of these patterns.

  • Jenny

Sorry I had to make that my title. When I think of bringing cross stitch into our generation I always think of Subversive Cross stitch. I would love love to win this awesome giveaway to continue spreading her subversive messages !

  • Caroline

I would love the subversive x stitch kit – I have the book and it it brilliant. Fantastic!

  • micheleleigh

i would love to win the subversive cross stitch patterns. julie jackson’s patterns are so awesome. :)

  • Judith

I love subversive cross stitch! They say what we’re all secretly thinking…but now it’s out in the open! I haven’t been cross stitching for a while, but this would get me back in the habit.

  • samsstuff

I would like to win because Subversive Cross Stitch is awesome!

  • nicalamity.livejournal.com

My cross-stitching is getting dusty. It’s been nearly a year since I’ve really worked on anything. However, every time I see a link or a mention to Subversive Cross-Stitch, it inspires me to want to get crafty and back into it again. It appeals to the deviant crafty chick that I am. Pick me – I’ll stitch it up proudly!

  • henonthetown

Choosing me at random will make everything better. First off, I will win and winning is the secret sauce of life. Secondly, you’ll feel great about giving me the tools to succeed at pissing off my grandma (who hasn’t had a good pissing off since the great frog-eye salad debate of 04). And thirdly, my you look pretty today…wink wink.

  • annie732009

I love to cross stitch and its very relaxing for me. I have RA and so far I am still able to do cross stitch. I lost my job on 12/31/2009 and I went thru months of depression and I decided to get my cross stitch stuff out and start picking it back up after all these years. I am trying to do as much cross stitch as I possibly can so when the time comes and I can no longer to cross stitch I won’t wish I had done something. I think cross stich is a great way to pass the time.

  • shi-girl

I’m currently deployed and crafts help fill the “free” time and keep me from feeling as homesick. Unfortunately, “Arts & Crafts” night here consists of coloring pages and painting little wooden boxes. I haven’t done cross-stitch since I was a teenager, but I’ve been wanting to get back into it. Subversive cross-stitch has several patterns that would fit in perfectly with the demotivators and “girl power” messages on my wall.

  • Suellen

I love to Cross Stitch. I have a friend that loves to Cross Stitch also and I plan to share the Subversive Cross Sitch kit with her.
    Thanks Suellen

  • Meigling

Oooh, I’ve always wanted to do one of these but could never justify buying one of the patterns. ::crosses fingers::

  • mandyjoe

I want to win these because i’ve just gotten into cross stitch. but i hate the old grandma cross stitch patterns. i want fun ones. i just did one for my best friend that is a long quote from “the ricky gervais show.” with a little picture of the animated karl pilkington at the bottom. it turned out well, but i don’t know where to go from here. please help.

  • lanabstar.wordpress.com

I want to win Subversive Cross Stitch because Gee $%^&*$! Dee it I need some of that in my life! Also it would make cross stitch more fun!

  • bijouxanth

I have the crafting equivalent of writer’s block right now and I believe winning would solve that problem – yay cross stitch!

  • Marie

I want to put these on dish towels and send them to all my friends I moved away from. They’d get such a laugh.

  • Laurpud

I would love to win this because they all sound like someone was quoting my family!! Plus, I’m not clever enough to make my own patterns :-(

  • spinkitty

I’ve loved this stuff since Craftzine first introduced me to it two or three years ago. Being unemployed, I can’t afford to buy any of the kits directly, so I’m hoping to win them. That way I won’t have to try to recreate them with cheaper materials.

  • Emma Hall

I love these! I’ve recently gotten really into cross stitch, but all the kits are from the 70s and so mild. I love that these are the opposite!

  • dinergirl

Cross stitch was probably the first real craft I learned (as a child) and I absolutely loved it. I’ve fallen out of practice as crocheting, sewing, and beading have taken over my time. How fun it would be to stitch up one of these fabulously UNcheesy designs (not that I didn’t LOVE my drama masks cross stitch from the 80s – heh).

  • Que Sarah

My hubby and I just bought our first home and I would love to win this kit so I can decorate our walls with subversive cross stitch art!

  • cheri626

Why? Because I have the book and love SCS!

  • cheri626

I bought the book for my sister and myself. She doesn’t cross stitch anymore (two little kids to wrangle), but appreciated the humor anyway :D

  • star-fallen

I love Subversive Cross Stitch, and would love to have some kits to make! I learned how to cross stitch when I was a kid, but none of the patterns seemed “cool” to me. But these are awesome, and I would love to decorate my new apartment with them!

  • lmleb

I would LOVE this…I’d make these for all my family and friends for the holidays!!!

  • Rabid

I love Subversive Cross stitch! I even modified one of their designs for some kitchen towels :D

  • ladybugs

I would love to win this for the more than “G” rated verses! I always have a project with me.
At my daughter’s track meets many of the girls and boys watched me as they had never seen someone stitch (sad!). I taught 2 girls how to embroider their initial and a track medal, which I sewed into drawstring bags. One 5 year old boy asked how old you have to be to stitch. I told him “ou have to be old enough to not cry when you stick your finger with the needle.” I lightly ran the point over his finger, and he said “I’m not old enough yet”

  • Sunny

I’ve been flirting with the idea of learning cross stitch for ages, but put off with the silly flowers and fairies and ‘bless this mess’ and whatnot. These patterns not only look fairly simple for a learner, but also more accurately represent my general misanthropy.
    TLDR; to learn cross stitch.

  • vegkat

I probably wouldn’t be stitching if it weren’t for SCS and lighting a fire under the rears of all of us potential stitchers! Plus free stuff is totally radicool.

  • nostephot

I have loved and used Subversive Cross Stitch for years! I love the irony and humor in all the patterns. I have been making gifts and cards for years and have used these patterns often. I think my favorite is the Happy Fucking Holidays Deer. I stitched it up into a Christmas card for a family friend who are big deer hunters, and of course that time of year is deer season! There are may times that I have had reason and cause to use the patterns and I would love to continue with new images and patterns. I always share where my cool patterns come from and more patterns mean more sharing! I know there are many new patterns that I don’t have and would get great use out of!
Thank you for the great giveaway and I am sure keeping my fingers crossed.

  • vintage rabbit

I’ve been a huge fan of Subversive Cross Stitch for years! I would love some new patterns to stitch!

  • posietron

I learned to cross stitch with pre-printed patterns of teddy bears and heart shaped balloons, but quit because it was so tacky! Subversive Cross Stitch was like a bolt of lightning in my crafty universe, and I’d love to share it with my friends!!

  • Beckysews

I need more *@%# projects like I need a &#(@*)!#*& hole in my head. No, I need more #^@)!()#&*&^%@# Projects like I need air and food!
I would %@(&%$%^#@) love to win!
    Thanks for the @&&#)(@#I_@^%@ Chance.

  • cheri626

I bought two copies of the book for my sister and I. She doesn’t have time to cross stitch anymore (two little kids to wrangle), but she appreciated it anyway. Hilarious!

  • missjuliaj

I would love to win because I’d like profanity on my walls and not coming out of my 2 year old’s mouth. Like tonight! I said “What the…” and he filled in “F*ck!” Nice.

  • caracolina

…And a very convenient way for me to get back into cross-stitch without having to deal with inane looking kits from J***n…

  • Dragongirl

I would love to win because I love subversive cross stitch! It is full of Awesome & Win and needs to adorn my walls!

  • accentsbyanne

This would be a great way to pique my teenage daughter’s interest in cross stich! She is just learning.

  • me.yahoo.com/a/QSIaySRrjvAADkZjSU1GwhN5ZPrhjH9m

Because nothing is funnier than the whiplash effect a sassy cross stitch can cause!

  • Katie N

I discovered Subversive Stitch not to long ago when a friend of mine sent me a link to it. It is awesome. I would love to make some of these mainly to see people’s reactions to them.

  • jennywilliams.myopenid.com

I’ve only recently started doing this kind of thing, and would love some kits to keep me stitching.

  • Sue

i never win but i love these! my husband wont let me buy any more arts and crafts stuff till i use what i have but he said nothing about winning things!

  • jet h

Hi , i hope you will picked me, i love to draw comics and i use sometimes to curse in them those same signs like you did.
i will moved to my new home to be next year and i liked and loved your subversive stiches in those modern joke way a lot.
i will have in my new home to be a lot of caring and helping people which i think i do not often will like a lot so its good to have such a curse in commic style on my door when they will go away. Such a relieve.LOL
i didn’t say then a bad thing but the stiches will do this for my.LOL
i will go there next year and still very excithing of it because i have waited then for this kind of living for 8 years, i’m like a little child now.LOL
thank you for reading my comment and thanks for this oppurtunity;-D

  • wissaboo

Would love to win this as I’ve never tried cross stitch before but have been thinking lately that I would love to. Subversive’s kits are so clever and cute – I would actually hang these on my walls! – so I would love to win some!

  • asaerich.myopenid.com

I’ve got several friends who share the same sense of humor and vocabulary that I’d love to turn on to some subversive crafting. I’d love to have these kits!

  • stonemaven

Because there is no cross stitch without irony! Besides, I need some good samplers for the wall in the guest bedroom.

  • Showk

Because it would shock and horrify my mother who always told me cross stitch was a genteel occupation.

  • holycrow

I would love to win this one for two reasons. First is because I’m half way through the classic Subversive Cross Stitch project “People are Cattle” and I’m having a great time and some strange looks from the other coffee house patrons. Second reason is that I would love to teach cross stitch to my monthly craft group, The Temple of Craft. It’s hard to come up with cheap projects for the members every month.

  • Danielle

My first ever cross stitch project was from the Subversive Cross Stitch book! I would love to win free kits!

  • tygrus

I adore the subversive patterns and I will never have enough! And they make great gift for my friends who are under the sadly mistaken opinion that x-stitch is “boring”.

  • Loopdilou

Awesome! My 9 year old daughter and I are cross stitching up some subversive patterns to decorate our house! We’d love some more to work on!

  • Amy

I’d love to win these kits because I’m been thinking about getting into cross stitch again for absolutely ages and a touch of subversiveness might just motivate me enough to do it. ;)

  • Molly McFury

I need these because my day job is soul crushing and about to send me into a nervous breakdown. Cross stitch is the only thing that helps. Also Julie Jackson was the inspiration for me to open my Etsy shop and I like her. :)

  • jenniferofthejungle

I’d love to win because I love Subversive Stitching! They’re awesome!

  • msjulianne

I love Julie Jackson’s designs. She has inspired me to create four lettered cross stitches of my own. I would spread the subversive and give kits to all my friends (but keep at least one for myself).

  • slrtu

it took me 30 minutes to figure out how to sign up and enter!
Sewing keeps me from eating- keeps me from yelling at my husband, and keeps me sane.
I promise not to get my project all cheesy from Cheetos and other junk food, because I’m going to be too busy making adorable stuff for my home and office!

  • justjuli.wordpress.com

Because a foster dog recently ate through several kits and tools – hundreds of hours lost…. :(
Several of the kits from Subversive express my feelings about that dog.

  • jensassmouth

I am a stereotypical lonely old lady with a million cats. I smell like a nursing home. I have a sad sad life. Maybe if I cross stitch cusses and put them on my wall I will get my swagger back. I might even be able to get back on the sin wagon and have a little fun before my mouldering carcass is sent 6 feet under.
    Please and thanks,

I’m a nice person. I have an inner mean streak, however, that needs to express itself. If I win the patterns I will be less likely to be sarcastic to my friends and family (I hope) and more likely to create wonderful gifts for the people in my life who understand me. Besides, I have too much floss.

I have had a rough time with life lately and have used many of the sayings to stitch.. rather than lovey, frilly, cutesy things..I have even made one up recently, stitched it for a friend and chose one of your borders…I would love to win!!!!

  • corazongitano

I’d like to win because I’ve been super stressed out and mad at the world lately, and some offensive cross-stitch designs to work on would be a great stress reliever!

  • Juliann

I need Subversive Cross Stitch. I’m just not a frilly type girl. There are quite a few nice antique and Victorian era cross stitch. Absolutely love Art Deco, which there isn’t enough of. I’m hoping to remedy that myself.
Must…..have…..Subversive…..Cross Stitch. (done in my best William Shatner)

  • stitchinwitch

I’m quitting smoking and I need fun, sassy designs to keep my mind off the fun nicotine cravings. That and it will be much quieter for me to point to my stitching instead of swearing profusely when I’m stressed

  • Sam Grey

I simply MUST enter (and win) this draw since I first learned to cross stitch with a pattern from the Subversive site!

  • The Quilt Gypsy

Cuz I love Submersive Cross Stitch and I love free stuff!

  • C. Wilson

My 10yo daughter already has one picked out for her room (we have the book), and I can only guess what my 6yo son will choose. Yes, parenting CAN be fun– and subversive!

  • sookie007

I have made and given so many subversive cross stitch to my friends and every time they open the present their eyes light up! I enjoy making them and surprising everyone with a little bit of naughty :)

  • tenacious_o

I’d love to get patterns and kits from SS. They’re one of my favorite craft ideas. I’m planning to make some as gifts for the holidays.

Oh man, I love Subversive Cross-stitch patterns – the best part about them is the look on my mum’s face when I show her.

  • goldendovedesign

i’d love to win these goodies from subversive cross stitch! the new season of mad men is coming on in a few weeks- and it’d be SO nice to have some of these to work on while i watch!

Would love to win some cross stitch so I can make people laugh and so I can spread this fun and fantastic hobby here in Sweden

  • justsomeamy

I think I should win, because I see the perfect gifts for both my doctor and therapist. And nothing says I’m all better like an obsessive/compulsive three hours of meticulous stitchery. (Actually, what that says to my therapist is ‘time to take bids on the kitchen renovation.’)

  • Amy Simmons

I moved from Ohio to NJ a little over a year ago, and am missing my friends back there! These would be great presents to send them to keep in touch – and totally up their alley!

  • Archangeldecker

Because I’m tired of stitching teddy bears with lace and women in poofy dresses! :D

I’ve been wanting to learn cross stitch as a craft I can do anywhere, without needing a ton of space or a machine. I’d definitely be more likely to try it if I were making something cool to display rather than a pattern I’d never want to hang up in my house.

  • Kate

Because what is better to finish a new house than a piece of subversive art!

  • aggie00

My mom taught me to X-stich over 20 years ago and I think she would get a kick out of these patterns. Plus they would look awesome hanging next to my very first x-stich project–a fat, pink pig with a purple heart.

  • Ben

I’ve been looking at learning to cross stitch and doing so through subversive cross stitch would be incredible. I mean, who doesn’t want “Homo Sweet Homo” hanging on their wall?!

  • elisb.wordpress.com

I would love to win this because Subversive Cross Stitch is what started me cross-stitching in the first place, and I love their designs!

  • BrightStreetGeo

Here’s the reason I’ve gotta win:
It’s a way I can let my fingers do the talking while I watch my mouth.

Cross stitching is one of the few things I can do to clear my mind – it’s my way of meditating. No matter how stressed I am, I can start stitching and be put at ease. The snarkier the piece, the better! ;)

  • cheriedmiller

Big fan of the potty-mouth designs!

  • erin

I’d love to win because it would be nice to stitch something other than butterflies and flowers. ;)

I’d love to win because it would be fun to stich something other than butterflies and flowers…it’s always fun to be a bit naughty! ;)

  • polkaostrich

My roommate is moving away and I promised him a Daniel Johnston embroidered jean jacket LAST YEAR for his birthday. If I get these, I’ll have no excuse to get stitching!

  • scubagal

I’d love to win because I’m a little shocked but very intrigued by the designs. I’d love to break out of the “norm” and shock visitors to my home when they see a few of these framed cross stitched patterns on the wall. It’s so not like me!

  • jenasarmik

I would Love to win this, because this summer I have been working on stitching on to aprons with different designs that I have been making up, I think that having a some actual patterns will enhance the work that I have been making and open me up to new possibilities.
