    Why use plastic when we still have glass jars? I am currently collecting glass olive jars to do just this with. I would never use plastic for this. Plastic will get brittle over time. And it will scratch, especially when you are filling it with screws and nails. Soon you won’t be able to see what’s in there. What’s wrong with the way our fathers and grandfathers did it? Proper glass jars and metal lids!
