We’re holding open auditions for new MAKE video stars! Want your own show on MAKE and our YouTube channel with 164K subscribers? We’re looking for individuals, duos, or teams who make cool projects and shoot/edit videos about them. Think you’ve got what it takes to be the next Kip Kay or Collin Cunningham? We want to hear from you (even if your first and last initials don’t match). “How do I try out?!” you ask. Apply by making a step-by-step project video and submitting it to us. We’ll air the finalists here on Make: Online. This is for an eventual compensated position (after the audition process). Show us your best, and if you need inspiration to get started, check out our video making archives for some lighting tips, DIY steadicam rigs, and more.

Update! A little Q and A:

Q: When’s the deadline?
A: There’s no deadline, we’re willing to wait for great work!

Q: Should I (or we) submit something I’ve already done, or something new?
A: It’s up to you, but we’re looking for you to prove that you can write/shoot/edit/publish videos that let your personal style come through while complementing the rest of our video team’s creations.

Q: What kind of projects are you looking for?
A: Anything you’re excited to show to the world that you’ve made. And if you’d like to make a project that’s appeared in MAKE, be our guest!
