i see what you’re saying, and it’s a grand idea, but instructables is GARBAGE.
it’s like they designed the site specifically to be hard to navigate, hard on the eyes, and a general pain in the ass.
And yeah, I’d say this to the face of anyone that works at instructables.
I think that says more about you than about Instructables……
I’m with s0crates82 on this. Earlier today I was thinking what a pain it was, and then they had a talking ad!
I’ve decided to stop using their site unless they show me how to achieve cold fusion, win the lottery, or find the path to inner peace.
I don’t care about the cloth covering, but the exposed screw on those is very bad. I like the stacking type banana plugs. They have enough recess on the metal parts to protect me.
I prefer the stacking type too. I was the first to comment on my own instructable and covered this issue. I had non-stacking because they were cheap, and multiples are easy to make.
I also covered the issue of the exposed screw. I wanted it exposed for my low-voltage synthesizer and circuit bending cables. You may want to cover your screw with heat shrink when using high voltage.
