Sound-Triggering Dress

Craft & Design

The Masai Dress by Studio 5050 uses metal beads and conductive thread to trigger sound playback. The wearer’s motion makes the strands of beads swish across the stitched conductive stripes on the front of the garment, creating an occasional electrical connection that is sensed by the circuitry in the collar.
