How-To: Simple Space-Themed Group Costumes

Group and family costumes are fun, but can sometimes be hard to come up with or harder still to execute. These space-themed group costumes from Martha Stewart could not be simpler, and would work for a family with small kids or a group of older friends. It would be really cool to create a group costume of the entire solar system, with accurately depicted planets and stars. Friends could wander between Mars and Jupiter as the Asteroid Belt. Someone could be Hubble and take pictures of everyone else. Admittedly, my space-geekiness is getting a little carried away here, but you see how this could evolve into an epic group costume, right?

These would be cute for a party, but a little difficult to move around in school or at work. I could see how this would be a fun way to learn about the solar system and orbits, etc.
