Making a Vuvu Gramophone

Ah. Those ubiquitous Vuvuzelas. I don’t watch soccer, don’t own a TV, and I still became overwhelmed with Vuvuzela references and World Cup fever. And in its wake, the world was overwhelmed with the deafeningly-loud 2′ plastic tooters. Now that the matches are over and the world’s attention has moved on, what to do with all of those horns? Can you believe that there are sites dedicated to re-making them into other things? WoZela is one of them. They’ve been running a contest (which ends internationally on Oct 25th) to collect ideas for Vuvuzela repurposing. Some of them are quite clever. Here, somebody has turned one into a gramophone. [Thanks, Tim Frost!]
