These stick-on CD/DVD hubs are marketed to publishers who want to include an optical disc in a book, card, folder, or other printed matter. They cost pennies apiece and, with the aid of our handy print-and-cut template, are easily arranged in a hexagonal grid on any smooth surface you might want to use for disc storage. Discs stored this way are easy to browse at a glance, without flipping pages, and don’t take up space on a table or shelf.

The cds/dvds will get awfully dusty don’t you guys think?
Cd’s can survive a little dust. I think it might be a neat use of space, perhaps on the inside of a cabinet door. Better to have these gathering dust somewhere in plain sight than losing them and having them gather dust elsewhere.

Do you know what else works remarkably well for this task? Thumbtacks.
I can purchase a couple dozen at the local BuckStore and they hold at least 3 discs each. I have a wall of them right now, looking at me from the other side of the room.
Sure, it makes a hole–but I’m sure that the adhesive won’t come off clean either.
It occurs to me that you could use this method for bulk storage if you stuck the hubs on a hinging multiple-frame display, like the kind used to display for-sale posters.
