2011 is shaping up to be a great year for informative, interesting, and exciting online learning videos. Below are my favorite online video creators in the maker world at the moment – they’re not in any particular order.
I like the EEVblog videos that are under 1 hour and not just a rant, here’s my favorite one.
Our own Becky Stern, one of my favorite videos was the timely EL wire TRON bag. Becky also appears in the bi-weekly Make: Live show.
Limor “ladyada” Fried – Limor’s videos teach, and the weekly chat video series that I help out with is fun to participate in with lots of makers. My favorite of hers is the reverse engineering of Apple’s iPhone charging methods.
Jeri Ellsworth’s video channel, perhaps the best educational video series at the moment, A through Z.
Collin’s video series, if you’re fan of the old show “Connections” you might like these videos from our very own Collin.
Sylvia’s Super-Awesome Maker Show, Sylvia shows you how to do two simple Arduino projects – the latest video, how to make a MiniPov.
MJ from iFixit – here’s how to replace an iPhone battery. The vimeo page for iFixit had a ton of great videos.
Jessica from Parallax, product videos and more – this is a newcomer to my list, we hope Parallax makes more videos!
Erin, from RobotGrrl – Erin has a sometimes live show as well as robot related videos on vimeo.
Vi Hart — Math Doodling, learn math – the fun way.

Hey- random question, but is it alright with you guys if I download your videos and put them on my ipod and such? Am I asking the right people? They are really nice videos and the skill sets help with my electronics projects. Just wanted to clear it with you guys before I went on a video frenzy. Thanks in advance- EvilGenius121
it’s always ok, enjoy!
Downloaded and converting now.. Thanks! :)
No Savage Circuits TV? I like Chris’ videos and he recently posted that he would be starting a new diagnostics tool tutorial series any day now. http://www.youtube.com/savageciruits
