Crafty Aid For Tornado Victims

Our hearts have been with all those affected by the tornadoes across the southeastern United States in April. We’ve scouted out several crafty outreach efforts for folks in the area and wanted to share them with you. If you have come across any we’ve missed, please let us know in the comments!
Indie N.C. is sponsoring a fundraiser for the Raleigh Boys and Girls Club with many vendors and products.
The Alabama Chanin Studio Store has extended their 20% Mother’s Day Coupon through May 20 and will be donating 20% of their sales to the Alabama Red Cross. Enter CELEBRATEMOTHER when checking out.
The Craft Emergency Relief Fund is offering the following assistance to artisans in the affected area, and donations to the fund would be greatly appreciated.
– Grants up to $2,500;
– No-interest loans up to $8,000;
– Booth fee waivers at craft shows;
– Discounts on materials and equipment from suppliers and manufacturers;
– Assistance with business development through referrals to consultants and other low or no-cost resources
The Central Ohio Binky Patrol is taking donations of blankets for victims.

[Blankets] can be knitted, crocheted, quilted, tied fleece, even crochet edged fleece. Any pattern or style is fine, all ages and sexes are needed. Sizes can range anywhere from 36″x36″ up to 65″x90″. I know blankets take time to make but please try to send as soon as you are able. Also, if it is possible, I would greatly appreciate it if you could please include a few $1.00 stamps to help with postage. I’m hoping to have lots of boxes to send off to Alabama!

We will be collecting handmade blankets to distribute to the tornado survivors in the Southeastern U.S. We have found many charities and organizations that will accept them. They are begging for supplies at this point, so please make ’em up as quick as you can.
