News From The Future: Augment Reality Stamps

The Netherlands Architecture Institute (NAI) and TNT Post present the first stamps in the world with augmented reality. The stamps show five futuristic buildings designed by famous Dutch architects. When put in front of a webcam, these buildings will appear in 3D on the stamp. By moving the stamp, users are able to see the virtual building from almost any angle.

You can print them any size you like, and people have. The only limitation is how visible it will be at the camera.

You’re right the technology behind this isn’t new.

What is new and amazing is seeing the technology adopted by a country’s postal system to promote an aspect of cultural history.
