    i don’t get this … (but i willing to blame my own cluelessness): i could push a nail through a thick sheet of rubber *plus* a layer of seat-belt webbing just about as easily as i could push a nail through a thick sheet of rubber without a layer of seat-belt webbing …?

      I bet it would work fine for staving off broken glass, which is the majority of what has punctured my tires in the past.

        i guess my feeble point is that there already is a layer of fabric of some-sort in bike tires; (there are even a fancy sort with kevlar™ in them – yes but this is cheaper)  ah well.. never-mind… just thought there was something that i was missing.
