@wolfram_alpha Adds Features for Electrical Engineers!

Pt 101241-1

Not too long ago at Boston’s Science-Foo event, Ladyada, Amanda (w0z) and myself met Stephen Wolfram, they talked about adding features for electrical engineers, as they chatted Stephen typed in notes directly to the “feature request” on his iPad – today we received this email!

…you gave us some suggestions for features in Wolfram|Alpha. I thought you might like to see that we finally implemented something in regard to resistance.

I hope I’m not the only person unaware of the “cgs mechanical ohm” unit of measure!

It’s mostly used when simulating/analyzing mechanical circuits using electrical techniques. Sometimes you’ll see it in spec sheets for loudspeakers as a measure of the mechanical impedance.
