By way of our favorite cephalopodic bloggers over at LaughingSquid comes this amazing airplane window snap of this morning’s Atlantis launch. So great! Our very own Rachel Hobson was there in the press pool and will be filing a report later.

Thank GOD its over…The needless spending for this useless program has come to a end…
and you think there is not going to be more spending to get us back there? Or do you think were not going to pay the russians to get us there. get real, billions will be spent in the upcomming years, maybe more than ever just to get us to space, because now were paying to get us back there and paying the russians to get us there while we cant.
I do hope you’re just trolling.
If not, then I’d seriously question your patriotism towards the country and the collective ideal of scientific progress for the benefit of mankind.

Technically, that is a few minutes after the launch as seen from an airplane.

How long after the launch was this?
i wouldn’t want to be in an air plane anywhere near a launch.
especially after last time.
oh and thanks make for posting stupid repost crap so you have to go through about 5 pages of junk to find out nothing at all interesting about the picture.

Gee whiz, for all the money it cost, you’d think the thing could at least fly in a straight line! :-)
