André Knörig of Fritzing wrote in to let us know that they’ve just released version 0.6.2 of their open source “tool that allows users to document their prototypes, share them with others, teach electronics in a classroom, and to create a pcb layout for professional manufacturing.”

New features include support for SMD parts, a SparkFun parts library, and support for Stripboards. Check out the complete list of new features in their history of changes and download the latest version on their download page.
