q 14 02 614x804 Scratchbuilt: Q 14 Reconnaissance Robot

mz oct hobbyhow 150 Scratchbuilt: Q 14 Reconnaissance RobotAn entry from Bay Stater John Neiner in Starship Modeler’s 2007 Yellow contest:

The model is scratch built from sheet styrene with about 9 kit bashed details. I began the project by drawing a rough sketch of the robot which served as my reference throughout the process. I wasn’t sure of the final position of the robot so I built all the joints so they would function and be “poseable.”

Lots more written how-to from John on the model detail page, and some great work-in-progress shots on the Neiner family blog.
