How-To: R2D2 Mini Secret Storage Container From Recyclables

Without a doubt, one of the most loved attractions at Maker Faire are the life-sized R2D2s that roam the fairgrounds. Their controllers are usually just off to the side of the groups of people who crowd around the R2D2s, smiling as kids and adults alike proceed to flip out over the droid who feels like a member of the family. I love seeing Flith Wizardry’s recap of her kids’ experience meeting R2D2 at Maker Faire, and the cool recycled project it inspired. She gives a full how-to on transforming recycle bin fodder into a cool R2D2 storage container. Makes me homesick for an R2 hug!
